An intimate historical monologue encounters an older Henry VIII looking backwards rather than forwards.
Beyond the portraits, marriages, executions and formidable reputation is a man left alone with his memories and the consequences of the choices he made.
The production established the idea at the heart of Historic Life Narratives: that even history's most familiar characters can become unfamiliar when we allow them to speak as human beings.
