We are interested in the moments the history books cannot fully record. The private conversations behind public events. The relationships fractured by power. The choices made when there was no good choice to make. The fear, ambition, love, jealousy, grief and regret hidden beneath names that have become part of history.
Our work begins with historical research, but it does not end there.
We take figures audiences think they know and place them back into the uncertainty of their own lives, before history had decided how they would be remembered.
Five hundred years may separate us from them, but the emotions that shaped their lives remain startlingly familiar.
